Chris Cummings Biography
Chris Cummings is a Canadian country music artist born on August 11, 1975, in Saint John, New Brunswick. He grew up in Norton, a riverside community, and began performing at the age of five. His debut single, “I Waited,” was released in Canada in the fall of 1995 and reached the top five on the charts. His first album, *Somewhere Inside, * was released in June 1996 and achieved gold certification in Canada.
Cummings has been nominated for multiple Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) and JUNO Awards, reflecting his significant influence on the Canadian country music scene. He performed at the Merritt Mountain Music Festival in 2002.
He continues to be active in music, and in November 2023, he premiered two new songs, “Dreams” and “I’m Still Alive,” from his upcoming album with his band, Chris Cummings & The Way. This album was released digitally on Christmas Eve 2023, with a full physical release and an accompanying documentary planned for January 2024.
In March 2025, Cummings announced a live performance with his full band at St. Stephen High School in St. Stephen, New Brunswick, scheduled for Friday, March 15, 2025.
Additionally, a drummer named Chris Cummings, known for collaborating with jazz legends and the Dave Goddess Group, released his debut album, *Chris Cummings and The Way,* in March 2024.
These activities demonstrate that Chris Cummings remains a vibrant and evolving presence in the music industry.
