Dixie Chicks Biography
Dixie Chicks are an American music group. The band includes founding members (and sisters) Martie Erwin Maguire and Emily Erwin Robison as well as lead singer Natalie Maines. Their Genre of music includes Americana Country, Alternative Country, Folk, Bluegrass and Country Pop.
The Dixie Chicks were originally founded in Dallas, Texas by Laura Lynch on upright bass, guitarist Robin Lynn Macy, and the multi-instrumentalist sisters Martie and Emily Erwin in 1989.
Robin Lynn Macy left the band in 1992 and Laura Lynch left in 1995.
On June 26, 2019, The Dixie Chicks has confirmed that they are returning to music with a new studio album after a 13-year hiatus. They are expecting to record their first new studio album since 2006. On September 19, 2019, Maines confirmed the album is titled Gaslighter, and will be released in 2020.
